Dr. J. Chad Duncan is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of orthotics and prosthetics and Fulbright scholar. As a Tenured Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthotics & Prosthetics at Salus University’s College of Health Sciences, Education, and Rehabilitation, he is at the forefront of shaping the future of the profession.
A proud alumnus of Auburn University and Northwestern University, Dr. Duncan's academic journey is complemented by a rich career in clinical practice and program development. His experience as Director of Northwestern University's Prosthetic and Orthotics Center and his pivotal role in establishing a program at Alabama State University and at Salus at Drexel University underscore his commitment to advancing orthotic and prosthetic education.
Dr. Duncan's research focuses on enhancing undergraduate curriculum, integration of additive space, exploring the psychosocial dimensions of disability, and investigating the interplay between prosthetics/orthotics and the professional landscape. His work is dedicated to bridging the gap between rigorous academic inquiry and practical clinical application and the additive space.
